The Ross Program at Ohio State is an intensive eight-week course in mathematics for pre-college students sponsored by the university in partnership with the Clay Mathematics Institute. Students are immersed in a world of mathematical discovery, where the motto is to "think deeply of simple things." Founded by the late Dr. Arnold Ross at Notre Dame in 1957, the program has run every summer since then, moving to Ohio State in 1964.

The central goal of the Ross Program has always been to instruct and encourage bright young students in the art of abstract thinking and to inspire them to discover for themselves that abstract ideas are valuable and important.
